When reading a paper on a packed tube train...

... do not use someone else's nose or forehead to rest your paper.

Grrrr.

Walk Signal Buttons

For many years we had no "walk signal buttons" on our traffic lights here in Chicago. Pedestrians were automatically given a "walk" signal as the colour of the light changed. In the past year or two, however, some city planner has got the idea that we ought to have a "walk signal button" on SOME (not many) traffic lights.

Down Expedia!

Ok, Expedia can take a flying leap off a very high cliff surrounded by very pointy rocks.

Irish Rail and how it treats disabled people

So there I was on the Dublin-Dundalk train last night, when a guy in a wheelchair got on a Dublin Connolly. Now given that an Irish Rail porter helped this guy on to the train, you would think that they would have phoned ahead to Drogheda to let tem know to have the ramp ready when the train arrived. Nope!

In fact the poor guy had to ask me and my fiance for help. When the train arrived in Drogheda I had to hold the doors open whislt my fianc searched for a staff member to set up the ramp.

Ulsterbus and their awful new buses.

Ulsterbus have got these new buses that run from Derry to Dublin and they suck!

The seats are so uncomfortable and they smell of wee. Come to think of it, they actually look like a Ryanair plane, but not as comfortable.
